Membership

Our brand new membership system offers you a wide range of services, opportunities to be involved in APSS regular activities, learning by doing skills and hands on practices to understanding your society.

Membership is available for not only Political Science students, political scientists, theorists, practitioners, policy makers, journalists, researchers and students either in formal education or those interested in political issues and other intellectuals, those who owns citizenship of Nepal, as a General Member. Individual meeting this requirement can apply for General Membership online and manually filling application form.

Please first read About APSS for membership requirement and status as well as APSS information so that interested individual would take it comfortable for. The APSS Executive Committee reviews the application form first and then calls for attitude test with a piece of job focusing to APSS Mission, Core Objectives, and Vision. Only successful applicants will be granted to General Membership. The General Membership is the first gate way to eligibility of any APSS benefit and involvement.

Types of Membership

  • Child Member (aged 10-15, parents’ consent is must)
  • Youth Member (aged 16-24)
  • Senior Youth Member (aged 25-40)
  • Senior Member (aged above 40)

Membership benefit

Services exclusive to members: More than 26 district chapters offer a diversity of activities and professional services.

Wide variety activities throughout the year: Different kinds of activities are specially designed for our members, which aim to broaden their horizons and bring them new exposures.

Award schemes and exchange programmes: Outstanding members and volunteers will be nominated to participate in local and overseas competition and exchange programmes, which help members to acquire a global vision.

For getting membership
Anybody who is interested in joining APSS community should contact and ask APSS staff at the Central Executive Office or local APSS members or any representative for more information on the process. Directly an email to info@apssnepal.org is more time saving to ask for detail. As there is not always mentoring session available for those interested in joining APSS, it is expected your personal interest, attitude and relevant previous experiences should produce a good influence over final approval for providing membership.

For determining personal interest, attitude, and relevant previous experiences, the APSS has its sets of traditions and conditions. For example, if you have good skills in writing article on political or current affair issue, or if you are active members of any political party, or if you are journalist, or if you are teacher, then you could be a potential applicant.
