The General Assembly (GA) is the apex level decision making body of the APSS. It makes major decisions and policy framework in every five year. Annual Conference takes place every year to assess and pass the Annual Progress Report (APR), approves the financial statements and annual programmes. The approved programmes and budget should be submitted to the government local authority every year. The General Assembly elects the Central Executive Committee (CEC) for five-year tenure. The CEC is the executing body of the APSS consists of President, Vice-President, General Secretary, Secretary, Treasurer and four Members. To execute the GA mandate and programmes the CEC takes advices from an Advisory Committee (AC) which is elected by GA for five years. The CEC has a central office in Kathmandu with necessary equipments and personnel.
There are different Sub-Committees (SC) under the CEC with deliberated rights, responsibilities and duties. There are Chief Executive Director, Programme Director, Programme Manager, Programme Coordinator, Admin & Finance Coordinator, and Legal Advisor & Support Staff to systematically support the CEC to make and implement the policy and programmes/projects and day to day administrative jobs. Under special projects which are bilateral cooperation with internal and external funding partner could have separate personnel for a pre-determined period, as per decision made by the CEC on need. |
